Why a blog?

I created this blog for my computer class, because I wanted to be able to share my thoughts about becoming a high school math teacher. I named my blog the Calc Corner, because I love Calculus and I also thought that Calc could be taken as calculator as well.
I also made this blog to answer some of the questions I have about becoming a teacher and how technology will play into my classroom. Some of my questions are: How can I integrate technology into the classroom AND do it without distracting or confusing students? What does the future hold for technology? Can I make math fun in the classroom by using technology?
And one last question that I know will stick with me for awhile is, what are my core beliefs and how can I ensure all my students will learn from me?
I'm hoping through articles and observations I will be able to answer most of these.

In this blog, I hope to learn and post information related to technology projects we will be doing. In our computer class we are going to be doing digital storytelling, which should be very interesting. We also are going to be using the program MovieMaker to develop a movie about a story from our schooling. I think it is important for everyone to learn about technology and how it can be integrated in a classroom. Being a future teacher, I am fascinated with all of the possibilities available. As I learn about new techniques, I will be sharing them on this blog. Please feel free to leave comments if you'd like.
